Solstice: virusrising.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tryouts&action=display&thread=224Solstice stepped fowards into the sewers looking around it as he did. He stood there adjusting himself to the smell that now surrounded him. Once he felt he had adjusted enough he stepped forward though he felt unsure he wasn't one to let it show as he continued to move forwards with confidence laced in his features and an expression of fearlessness clearly marked on his face. His dark brown eyes searched the area around him checking for any signs of danger as he walked. Solstice stopped and stood there for a few minutes and sniffed at the air around him. He scratched gently at the ground beneath him with his claws. He decided he would stay silent for the time being if anyone was down here they would say something to him. Solstice started to walk again moving further inside the sewers. He looked around him staying alert and ready for an attack if one were to happen. He had heard rumors of a pack living down here but he didn't know if they were true and he decided to find out for himself since he had no where else to go now that his owner disappeared. ---- [Just fixed the link to the character]

ShadowShadow was silently patrolling into the sewers. He had been into it, as part of Risk's pack, since weeks, but his sensitive nose was still not appreciating the stench coming from the sewers. He had decided to go into patrol, alone for once, and was decided to explore the place further, out of the usual patrolling ways. He wasn't running, but still made his way fairly fast, considering that he had to be careful not to splash everywhere, thing which would have alerted whatever else wandering into the dark tunnels. Pack mates, random errands... or worse, infected. There weren't many things, just tunnels following tunnels, intersected by water drains, widely spaced one from the next. Shadow was wondering how far the tunnels would continue running under the town, and where, if at least there were others, would be the different exits, except the one the pack knew already. Finally, after what seemed to be hours, Shadow decided it was time to return back to the pack's territory, but it wouldn't be before checking the entrance surroundings. He headed back, faster, a bit less silent, but still discreet enough, till he passed near one of the guardians. He exchanged the usual politeness words, asking if everything was quiet around, telling where he had been and what he had found, before heading towards the entrance, this time to patrol for real. He then headed towards the sewers' entrance, silent and alert. He wouldn't like an infected broken into there without him having heard it coming. Suddenly he stopped dead, a paw still above the water: there were some noises ahead from him, discreet, but present. He listened at it for a bit, his paw silently dropping on the ground. After few seconds pounding if he would attack or not, he decided not to: an infected would likely be less discreet. "Who's coming? Name yourself and your intentions!" His scattered and odd voice rang on the sewers, echoing onto it. He remained into a defensive stance, not sure about what the newcomer would do.

Solstice stopped at the voice and looked around. He perked his ears and crouched a bit aggressive knowing that he wasn't alone now. He narrowed his eyes and beared his canines while looking for the source. "My name is Solstice. I have no intentions to harm anyone or thing," he returned to whoever was now with him.
Solstice took a step back uncertain of what was or could happen next. He was uncertain and of course very nervous though he knew it probably wouldn't be best to let whoever was there to know how he felt so he kept his expression calm but full of confidence. He stood there keeping his ground but also keeping his distance. "I heard rumors of a pack down here and I came to see if they were true." He looked around one more time before trying to calm down his mind.

"Rumors may be true. Or not. You don't act like an infected," Shadow stated as he apparently eased a bit. But he was still cautious. A dog may have been infected only since a short time, and wouldn't show the unmistakable signs infected had. Or he could just have odd intentions, despite what he just told. Shadow stepped forwards, trying to see the other dog in the back light. He was feeling the nervousness the other dog exhaling, and what he could tell was that any infected would have savored plainly this scent. Once close enough, he saw the other dog -Solstice, as he had himself stated so-, some belgian or so shepherd mix male. No visible signs of being infected, no glowing yellow eyes, neither black gums. Once again that was only a evident sign on dogs who had been infected since at least some days, and Shadow stayed calm, but alert. "One rarely comes only to verify if rumors are true. I suppose there's a reason if you're searching them?" he asked the other male, a bit less aggressive than before, his voice sounding like he had eaten gravel echoing into the tunnel.

Solstice looked at the dog, "I need shelter." He relaxed his stance but he managed to stay alert and look like he was ready for a fight. He prepared to fight or run if he needed to. He knew his intentions but this new dog he had no clue if he was going to attack him or not though the dog did seem to be more relaxed.
Solstice stood up to his full heigth though it wasn't much, just Twenty-five inches. He raised his head though he took a few steps back still quite uncertain of his current situation.

Shadow stayed silent, looking at the black and fawn shepherd, but he eased a bit more again. So he was searching for Risk's pack, and seemed not to be infected... That was a good enough reason to wander into the sewers. As the other dog was stepping back, the light grey and white borzoi slowly stepped up, towards Solstice. He was still alert, ready if the dog would attack, either ready to counter-attack or to jump back. The other male wasn't really certain about the fate which was reserved to him, and Shadow pushed his advantage, feeling the other tensing even more as he began to sniff him everywhere. Then he stepped back a bit, letting the tension lowering a bit. "So you're sure of yourself, aren't you? You want to find them," he slightly asked Solstice with his scattered voice. "Lets go then, before we find something we won't like," he added, checking the tunnel leading to the entrance before beginning to head towards the pack's territory.

Solstice looked at the dog as it got closer. He stood looking at the dog. "I'm sure of myself yes but not like most are. I know when to ask for help," he spoke quietly loud enough to hear but not loud enough to attract attention to himself.
Solstice slowly followed after the dog more relaxed now knowing he was going to be fine. He let his ears relax and turn towards the entrance so he could listen to the outside. His eyes flickered around in the tunnel. He still had no clue who he was following, but he felt confident that the dog would not attack him.
