Jessie narrowed her eyes, but forced her fur to lie flat on her neck and back. "Err, break from pack memebers?" Jessie raised an eyebrow at the another dog's joking manner. Well, she seemed to be pretty relaxed which was waving off onto Jessie's nevous, calming her down a bit more. "I'm Jessie, and that Dachshoud," she nodded toward Pogi, "is Pogi."

Well, well. There was a brief moment of Pogi feeling a bit impressed by the Labrador's suspicion. He had his shares of watching an oblivious creature fall into a simple trap such as this- believing every single word a stranger would have to say. Perhaps this yellow dog's mother did raise her proper, but Pogi still felt no other emotions. She was still a house pet and as far as he feels, they don't belong on the streets. It was a valuable lesson his own mother had taught him. Regardless, he dismissed any thoughts he had in his head and leaned down his muzzle to the dead rat, tearing off the flesh. Oh, it's far greater than he hoped for! Fatter animals do make for a better meal. He chewed on the tough yet chewy piece of meat before looking up, half interested in the two females before him.
If he's eating his dinner, might as well have some entertainment while they're there. He listened in on the white female's words as she answered Jessie. 'Why else indeed...' Pogi thought suspiciously and can very easily come up with a list of intentions, but not wanting to stop eating, he kept it to himself. Unfortunately, the female continued to introduce herself. The Dachshund nearly groaned in his annoyance, but swallowed the piece he was chewing instead. However, just before he answered her, he was greatly pleased that Jessie had introduced him instead. Though, Pogi is not really the grateful type and let the world know, he simply tore off another piece of rodent meat and started chewing.
[True, you need to wait for turns. From what it seems like, we'll be going in the order of Snowest -> True -> Ani. Sounds fair?]

Snowest lost her playful manner as the dog still didn't seem to but put to rest. This was ridiculous, she wasn't infected, there really wasn't a reason the dog, Jessie, should be so almost hostile. The male, Pogi, didn't say anything. This was kind of annoying actually. She had come over to them, risking that they were infecteds to help Jessie and she was being a jerk. Both of them were.
Frowning she started to walk away and stopped at a short distance. " Well are you coming or what?"

((Sorry Star, this a bit different from the warrior cat rps I've been on.)) Jessie lowered her ears little, relazing how rude she must have sounded to this another dog. It was just hard to trust anyone these days since the infected dogs came out, like Pogi said earlier. Lowering her gaze so it was looking at the ground, she trotted slowly up to Snowest's side after the white female asked if she was coming or not. "S-Sorry for my behavior...I kinda of have trouble with other dogs sometimes." she said, not looking back up. If her mother was here, Jessie knew she would scold her for her rude smart mouth. You idiot! You let your head get to you again!, Jessie snapped her herself inside her mind.

If there was one thing Pogi already knew from the way he was acting, it was being rude. Unfortunately for the white stranger, he couldn't care less. There was only one goal in his mind at the time and it was eating his fill. From the way he was greedily tearing up the prey, the Dachshund was certainly not in the mood to share his kill. It wasn't enough for two dogs, more or less three. Besides, it's the survival of the fittest- if Jessie didn't know that, she will certainly learn. Pogi's contentment grew with every mouthful of tough meat and still his feelings towards the other two canine brethren hasn't changed. So what that white female risked her life to see if they weren't Infected? That was the gamble she was willing to risk, therefore the consequences falls on her. But she should consider herself lucky that they were simply paranoid rude dogs rather than actual Infected monsters.
As quickly as the Labrador impressed Pogi, she was quicker to disappoint him. He rose an eyebrow as he witnesses the yellow dog drop her guard and stutter out an apology. 'Pathetic.' was the only thought that surged in his head as his long tongue slipped over his muzzle, cleaning off the rodent's blood. However, now with their tails to him and moving in the opposite direction, the Dachshund felt gratitude to finally have a chance to enjoy the rest of his meal in silence.
With a smug chuckle, Pogi waved a paw in midair. "Have fun ladies. Hopefully, you will arrive your destination without getting Infected!" Clearly, he wasn't intending to join them. Being in a pack is dangerous, putting your life in another dog's paw and just as he heard through the birds, this Risk character was stirring up a lot of trouble. If fact, Pogi is quite convinced that is the exactly kind of trouble that would surely cost the Vulnerable their sanity...
[No worries. :3 I never grew up with "post whenever" rule, I just don't like being left behind. ;;
Okay, new order: Snowest -> True -> Ani -> Shadow
Just making sure we're clear on that! :3]

Shadow: virusrising.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tryouts&action=display&thread=101An other day, an other wandering day... That had been a long time since he had met someone to talk a bit. Not that he really liked to talk, since he couldn't easily, but still... He was tired of all that. He had passed his whole last year wandering around, hunting, and foremost avoiding humans and other dogs when he could. He didn't want to live again what he had lived when... He shocked his head, that wasn't the right time to think about that. At least he wasn't hungry anymore for now, after the two rats he had found and ate. He was heading to the exit of the place, when he heard dogs. From what his nose was telling him, there were three of them, a male and two females. He stepped back a bit, trying to listen to what they were saying. He relaxed a bit hearing that none of them seemed to be the infected type, at least he wouldn't have to fight or run once again. Maybe... Or not, he thought. Even if the most aggressive ones were the infected, some others were still fierce. Well, maybe he still could take a chance to talk a bit with them, and in the worst case, he would run away. He stepped up, going to where the voices were coming, hopping it wouldn't be a bad meeting, ready to turn back if what he'll soon see wasn't pleasureful.

Snowest smiled when Jessie apologized to her, that was nice. She humphed when Pogi made a remark to them but secretly she was back to good terms with both of them. She started off again, making sure Jessie was following her. Suddenly a new scent hit her nose, and she turned. Hiding in the shadows was a male. He wasn't an infected thankfully.
"Hey! Hi." She called out to him. Wow, there were a lot of dogs here today.

Jessie smiled slightly as Snowest acttecped her apology. Looking over her shoulder, she raised an eyebrow at Pogi's smart talking. That dog sure knew how to get out of trouble, but when it came to talking WITH other dogs...boy he knew how to speak alright! Perking her ears forward as she heard pawsteps, she looked up to see a gray and white Bozi, a strongly fast breed with a skinny biult. "Hello there fellow." she barked along with Snowest in greeting the male.

Of course, as the two females were making their way, nothing could escape his fantastic sense of hearing. And a bemused emotion sparkled in his chocolate brown eyes at the sound of Snowest making a disapproving noise. What a wonderful farewell. With a small shake of his head, the Dachshund lowered his nose and buried it into the rat corpse in a hunt for any more tasty morsel. Using his front teeth, Pogi nibbled the tiny bones clean and hungrily swallowed what's ever meat there is left on the body. One thing is true, it's always rather disappointing how quickly small meals can go. Pogi lifted up his snout as he wonders if there would be more rats roaming about nearby.
Suddenly, a new scent whiffed into his nostrils. 'Oh, you have got to be kidding me...' Pogi thought as he snapped his attention in a new stranger's direction. The city must have gotten so bad now that every sane dogs in the area is coming to the Junkyard. However, the breed of the dog surprised him. With narrowed eyes and keeping his paws planted to the ground, the Dachshund could see how tall and lanky this particular one is. The stranger is certainly sporting an awkwardly shaped skull. Pogi was sure he hasn't seen this type around yet, but just like meeting any new dogs, he is wary.
Deciding to allow the females to take this one, the Dachshund only kept his eyes on the Borzoi and waited to see what the new comer's reaction will be. Unlike the Labrador and the Samoyed, Pogi is cautious and ready to flee if the moment calls for it.

Shadow stepped back a bit when the two females, actually a samoyed and a yellow labrador cross, said him hello. There were also the male he smelt, but when he saw him he couldn't remember of the race it was. He hadn't seen much like him before. He thought it was too late anyway to turn back, and maybe he could even talk a bit with them. Maybe even a bit more. Not that he expected life's fate to be good to him, but he was tired to wander endlessly. He needed something else. But would you be good enough anyway? his consciousness asked into him. He shocked his thoughts away, and made a few steps towards the two females. "Hello," he barked at them. Or at least tried to. His barks were pretty odd, since the attack a bit more than two years ago. Still he stayed cautious, not knowing yet who they were.

Snowest watched the male as he seemed to be shocked. Was he scared of them? She smiled at him kindly. She always gave dogs a chance before placing them in some stereotype. He said hello, but seemed to still be cautious. Snowest sighed, she was getting tired of this routine.
"I'm Snowest." She walked a little ways off, let Jessie handle this.

Jessie blinked when she nocited the male seemed a bit scared. She wasn't that much surpised however. Most of the dogs she met on the streets have became timid after the virus dogs broke out, and it was hard to trust anyone these days. She glanced over at Snowest when she walked to the side a little, raising an eyebrow. Turning back to the Borzi, she dipped her head in a polite manner. "Hello there. My name is Jessie." she barked, perking her straight ear forward. The tag on her collar bumped against her chest as she spoke.

Upon seeing how the other male seems to retreat a little and could see the moment's worth of hesitation. Pogi felt his muscles relax a bit as it wouldn't be someone foolish enough to take on three dogs at once. It is always wise to not rush into a conversation, especially with the city so overrun by the shadows. No dog is safe. Introduction must be done carefully so there are no misunderstandings. However, Pogi continued to watch carefully as the Borzoi stepped more into the daylight and reveal more of his interesting shape. The stranger is certainly tall and his long legs can easily tell any dog with a common sense that Borzoi are made for running. Definitely not the one that Pogi could ever hoped to out run!
As the seconds slowly ticked by, Pogi could feel his intelligent mind growing a bit bored. Obviously, the new comer is quite timid and isn't about to liven the situation up. He doesn't appear to have any food on him either. The Dachshund noticed the other white female preparing to leave and decided that she had the right idea. Just as he was ready to get his own tail out of there, he had to stop to listen. This Borzoi certainly had a strange tone! Curious eyebrow rose on his features, Pogi squinted his suspicious eyes and attempted to seek what could cause such a funny voice from such a big dog. Unfortunately, nothing seems to stick out like a sore thumb as the stranger's fur was long and matted. Anything could be hiding under that thick mass of fur.
The logical reasoning for a strange voice could be anything. However, in these dark times, one can't be too sure. Pogi cleared his throat loudly before he finally barked up seriously, "Surely you have a good excuse but... What has caused your voice to sound in that way?" Suddenly, his voice dropped in a cautious tone and he took a step backwards. "You are not sick... Are you?" His powerful nose inhaled the air deeply and could not find the signs of illness. The Dachshund was quite of a distance away, but as far as he could tell, he was not supporting yellow eyes. But for all he could know, this dog could have just gotten the virus in his system and working its deadly poison at this very moment. Pogi isn't going to take any chances.

Shadow started to relax a bit, seeing that none of the three dogs wanted to chase him away, or to attack him. "My name is Shadow", he replied with his odd voice. He sat on his haunches, sighing when he saw the samoyed, Snowest, stepping back. Already he hadn't gave out a good impression...
A third voice took him out of his thoughts. The daschund... Now he remembered the name. He sighed once again while hearing the questions the other dog asked him. His voice had always gave to others the impression he was somehow sick. "I'm not sick," he sighed, "and yes, i do have a good excuse..." He tipped over his head, showing his throat... and the pretty big scar across it, visible even through his fur.
"I've thought that maybe i could find some company, but i guess i can just leave if you prefer..." he barked, getting up and ready to leave them to whatever they had to do.

Snowest sighed, she had given the dog the wrong impression, apparently her leaving was a bad idea. Time to right it. The samoyed turned back to face the borzoi and called, "No reason to leave, you aren't interrupting anything. Jessie and I were just about to leave."
Maybe that would make him interested. It was always good to have new members in the pack. Safety in numbers.
