Jessie perked one ear forward as she listened to the Borzi speak strangly. She felt her eyes widen in shock when Shadow showed them the large, gasping scar spreading over his throat like a curten over a window. She blinked as Shadow got up to leave, but then Snowest called him back, saying he didn't have to leave. "She's right, you don't have to go.....but..." Jessie glanced at Snowest before looking back at Shadow, and scanned his features. Gray and white fur, long thin legs, a brushy tail...he was a pure bred Borzi alright..and sort of cute too when you thought about it. "You can come with us if you want." Jessie offered, flicking her white-tipped tail to the side. Jessie glanced barely at Snowest as if asking the other female dog if it was alright if he came too. Risk must likey needed more members anyways, and Shadow didn't seem to be infected or anything.

There had been a good number of dogs that Pogi had witnessed the Virus working it's horrible black magic on and seen his fair shares of symptoms. It's always horrifying to watch any dog hurl up their stomach content and fall into insanity as their mind is being eaten away. Usually, it happens pretty quick and this Borzoi wasn't showing any painful trauma. Still, Pogi waited impatiently for an answer. First, they had came to learn that the stranger was called 'Shadow'- actually appearing to be dejected upon the sight of the Samoyed turning to leave. Pogi had to wonder what it is exactly does the new comer want. Were he looking for food or for companions? The Dachshund briefly glances down at the bones of his leftovers. Well, with a confident reassurance, food was definitely crossed out.
Finally, Shadow had answered him. The Dachshund listened quietly, though he can't deny that he felt some relief loosen his muscles when the other dog said that he wasn't sick. That already takes off a load, even though Pogi can't help but to be wary. He knew that one can't just trust strangers right off the bat. The survival of the fittest will mold that into a survivor's brain. This Shadow character was much taller and possibly more stronger than Pogi and he is prepared to flee at any second. While the yellow Labrador showed some shock to the scar that was revealed for the cause of the funny voice, Pogi's emotion remained the same. He did not felt so much of a flicker of surprise. Of course, this Dachshund had his own scars that was so much more visible to the world. Pogi twitched his left tattered ear in his disinterest. "Fair enough." He responded flatly; just as long there is no signs of the Virus in this specific area and that he's not being attacked, Pogi couldn't care less what else is happening.
Upon the Borzoi announcing his purpose of his approach, Pogi couldn't hold back an eye-roll. What is it with these dogs and needing a pack? Is it really that much of a big deal? The bigger a pack is, is asking for bigger trouble. However, already, the situation was resolving itself as Jessie offered the grey dog to join them in getting themselves acquitant with Risk... That if Shadow is even aware of who Risk is. It really didn't matter as it as anyway. Unlike Shadow, this Dachshund is not in any hurry to find 'friends'.

Shadow pondered about what they had say. The daschund seemed not to be so interested by something else than knowing if he was sick. That was pretty understandable, after all. He had learnt that to always be cautious, after all he had seen himself. Infected dogs were a threat not to be trusted, but sometimes even the normal ones couldn't be trusted, intentionally or not.
But he was tired about always having to run away, and the two females, Snowest and Jessie, were apparently nice. Even if the appearances are only a thing among many others he thought. Maybe he could give them a chance, for once. Maybe he could have himself a chance to stop to run away for at least a few, even. "I guess i can... depends where to you are going..." he responded with some difficulty. His throat was beginning to hurt, he hadn't talked that much since... he didn't even remember. He was still cautious, but he also felt tired.

Well he didn't run away at least. Jessie offered for him to come with them. Looking him over Snowest decided that wouldn't be too bad an idea. He was most likely fast, that could be useful.
"We're going to Risk's pack, I'm going to introduce Jessie here. If you want to have a chance at joining, then come with us."
She stood and waited for her answer. She wanted to get out of here soon, they had been there awhile. Likely attracting unwanted attention.

Jessie raised an eyebrow at Pogi. That little dog always seemed to have something to say, and it always came from his smart-mouth. Perking her ears forward, she turned back to Shadow as the Borzi said he would like to go with them as long as he knew where they were going first. This made Jessie's tail tip wagged slightly at the end for some strange reason once so ever. She nodded as Snowest explained to him where they were going too. "Its a lot safer in a pack as my mother once told me. You could make some new friend there." Jessie explained, her green eyes gleaming.

That was the one thing that Pogi can't deny, when he was listening to the other three dogs make simple chit-chat about Risk's pack, and that was some useful aspect of being in a pack. One thing for certain, it would most likely be easier to get sleep without having to keep one eye open. It would be easier to protect oneself from threat to have someone else fight along side. It would be easier to kill loneliness. But this Dachshund wasn't about to get himself involved with that nonsense; his pride wasn't going to grant him that pleasure. More or less, whoever said that infamous quote, "better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all", has obviously never lost their loved ones to the cruelties of the world. Pogi will never admit it, but he rather never go through that kind of suffering again.
However, the Dachshund can relate to Snowest when she was starting to feel edgy from all the standing around and growing worried about becoming open targets to these possible unwanted visitors. It was clear that Shadow was nervous about the idea of going with complete strangers into the unknown, but it wasn't like they were forcing him to go. He had to make a choice. Deciding that it was indeed time to change the pace of the scenario and speed this up, perhaps it was time that Pogi makes his statement. The Dachshund shook his head and his floppy ears flails about wildly, before his chocolate brown eyes looks over to Shadow. "Does it really matter where you're going?" He smartly responded, "Seeing how you don't appear to want anything else other than companionship, am I right?" If this Borzoi had a different purpose of being here, it would've been apparent by now.

"I guess i've make you loosing enough time here, i'll come", he answered. "And sorry for my cautiousness, but nothing seems sure, in this town. Not even some of the normal dogs..." He coughed harshly, he was definitely not used to talk a lot, and his throat was actually really hurting. The thought of the time he had felt into a trap while promised a pack shined into his mind. He shocked his head, throwing away his bad memories. They seemed to be rather friendly -the two females, at least-, so he guessed he could give them a chance. He got up, shook his fur, and let his tail wagging once. He was ready to follow them.

"Well alright, lets get a move on then!" Casting a last glance at Pogi, although she didn't think he wanted to come, she started off. Finally on the track back to the safety of the sewers. And the bad smell, but they would get past that eventually. She walked at a slow pace so that the others would catch up, then she would speed up.
