This is the remake this the other wasn't moving along, [glow=yellow,2,300]please, feel free to join at any time![/glow] :3 [glow=red,2,300]~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~[/glow] Opal : virusrising.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tryouts&action=display&thread=107The air was cold, not many dogs or humans were out in this weather. Winter was beginning it's reign, signaling the year end and year start. Humans were already putting up odd plants and 'ropes' on old street lamps, building, even some cars! It was a more happy time of year for them but not so much for the dogs. It means more Infecteds out looking for food and the cold weather made easy death for those who get bitten. Opal, an Inffected with the mindset of a normal dog, had an ally claimed to herself. Cats, daily would come in the ally only because they worked as messengers for her. She had a tent like thing set up in the back of the short ally, just enough room for two dogs and a cat to sit in. She was known to have her best fortunes this time of year when the wind was much more sturdy and twisted. She gazed outside her small home to watch to calming first snowfall of the season. Expecting a messenger today she already had prepared it's pay, a fish she had collected a few scraps from a local restaurant that was still running. If the information was good enough, the cat would get the good stuff. Maybe a dog will come by today, it would be nice company.

Hope ya don't mind. ^^ Clotho: virusrising.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tryouts&action=display&thread=164Joel: virusrising.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tryouts&action=display&thread=163_________________________________________________________________________ Clotho was trying to find more sane Infecteds. She wasn't afraid of them at all, for she knew some meant well. She kept her pointed nose pointed to the ground, sniffing out this place where many cats had been coming in and out. Maybe it was an Immune dog? She sniffed again. It was definitely an Infected; yet she could smell no blood. It must be sane. She continued walking, eager on interacting with one of these specimen. " "'Te!" She turned around to see her companion and good friend Joel, catching up to her. "So you came. Lettuce (She has an accent xD) go." She continued trotting, the Aspin close at her flank, his tilted ear tilting even more with uneasiness. She came upon an ally that had the smell of cats everywhere. She took a deep whiff. There was a trace of a dog; an Infected one. She gave a little smile and began to walk forward, before Joel yelped. "Clotho why the hell are we entering a cat slaughter area?!" He barked, ears flat. Clotho frowned. "Move. I know when thieengs are okay and note safe." She growled, walking past him. The male slowly followed her. He didn't like her decisions at times, but she had her ways of surprising him.

Opal kicked a box outside her make-shift home, grumbling about the mess inside. Her head lifted, there were voices in her alley. To deep and slow to belong to one of her messengers, she peeked outside. Just as she thought; two dogs had entered her alley. Not many dogs knew about her, but she knew for a fact that these dogs didn't know much at all.
She backed up a little in her home, knowing that only her eyes would be visible. She called out, "Who's entering my alley? You should know better than to walk in on the witch without warning.", she didn't sound menacing, just irritated. Opal was expecting a messenger to come by, not any dogs. They only came for reasons like the weather or their future, but she had no one come around for days about fortunes.
She kept a weary eye on them, just in case they tried anything funny.

Fiona: virusrising.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tryouts&action=display&thread=134Fiona was feeling tired. And she was lost. Lost in a part of the town she had never been before. Two infected had tried to harm her soon after she had left the construction site, but hopefully she escaped from them. Barely, but she did it. Now she was feeling rather cold, and her paws were hurting harder than usual. Normally she would have outrun them without any problem, without even panting heavily like she currently was. But since some days she had an additional weight to drag around, which would surly not relieve for the days to come. She finally stopped at the entrance of an alley, panting. She wanted to lie down there and rest, but she did know nothing about the surroundings. Maybe there were infected around, maybe not... However it wasn't a safe place. She limped further in the alley, her nose collecting heavy smell of cats who went on and off the alley. She thought that cats were wise creatures, and if they went there, it would mean that it wasn't a place were infected commonly went -not a place where anything threatening seemed to even come-. It was apparently quiet enough to make a good place to rest at least a bit. But the appearant quietness of the place was soon broken by an irritated female voice, and Fiona realized that there were other dogs around. She was that tired she had not even noticed them. She suddenly let a groan coming from her mouth, as she felt the puppies in her belly kicking stronger than they ever did. Looking from where the voice was coming, she stopped dead. Two eyes were looking from a dark spot, two yellow glowing eyes. She couldn't help but shivering. Not again. However she was two tired to flee, and limping how she was, she wouldn't even be able to go far before she would've been caught by the infected. In spite of her tiredness, she prepared herself to whatever the infected would try to do. Still she knew from her back paws shaking under her that she wouldn't make a threat toward the infected. All she wanted was to finally lie down, freeing her paws from the additional weight they had to support, and rest... She wasn't prepared of a life outside the home, without her owners, and even less in this state.

Opal was about to growl at the new third dog, she stopped herself. The dog was heavily pregnant, not good she would be an extremely easy target. She set herself up straight, "all of you. Come inside, quickly!" she ordered them quietly as she came outside with a old steel bowl, filling it up with snow. She made her way back inside and set the bowl down, quickly rushing into one of her boxes for some plants. She was being a little to hasty but she didn't find it to be a problem, having being born on a breeding farm, Opal knew quite a lot on pregnancies. It wouldn't be easy gaining their trust but grey collie would make sure they would at least have protection to illness during the bitter weather.
Opal pulled out some old carpets, as bedding for the dogs to rest on. Once she finished making it comfortable she climbed up into her own bed.

Fiona looked at the infected as this one talked about coming inside her house, as she came outside with a steel bowl and filled up with snow. Despite the fact that she was infected, the female border collie didn't seem threatening, even wanting to help. That was new to Fiona. The other infected she had crossed the road always had tried to chase her down -when it hadn't been worst even-. But somehow, it seemed that the grey and white female wasn't like the others. Fiona couldn't really tell, since she didn't know many things about infected in general -but wasn't it the case for most of the things?- But her instinct and the way the border collie had talked made Fiona ease. That was somehow odd, since she never eased like that the first time she'd seen a stranger. She limped into the infected's house, and waited in the entrance for the female to come back.
She soon saw the infected coming back with the bowl which she set down, rushing for some boxes. Then she pulled out some carpets, that Fiona looked at with envy. But she waited for the infected to climb up into her own bed to step up further, towards the carpets. She sat down on a carpet with some difficulties, letting a small grunt coming as she was pretty blocked by her distended belly while trying to sit. Then she remained lying down, then leaned on her side. That was so good, not to feel the pressure on her paws anymore... That was just the greatest feeling she has ever had since a time. She lied there silently for some instants, her belly looking even bigger now she was on her side. Then she looked towards the infected, and slightly -and hesitantly- presented herself. "Thank you, i'm Fiona. Who... Who are you?"

"Opal. Or, what you may have caught wind of, witch of the alley and cat whisperer." Opal licked a paw, she didn't like how small her home felt in winter. She drew her attention back to Fiona, "you seem to be hurt. How long have you had the wound?" she asked. Climbing down from her bed, moving over to a box where a strong scent of fresh plants was. She hadn't noticed the smell very much since the scent of cat was even stronger. "being wounded during this winter will be very, very deadly." she warned then offered, "you are welcome to stay, raising pups here now is dangerous to them. Easy prey for infected"

Fiona's ears flicked as the infected female presented herself. So she was the alley's Witch... Fiona had heard about her few weeks ago, after she had left her home, from a Siamese mixed cat, but if he told her about the presence of a Witch, he hadn’t said where one could find her. Fiona considerably eased around the grey and white border collie, knowing from the cat that Opal wouldn’t attack like most of the infected would likely do, but on the contrary helping who needed to be helped. As Opal asked her about the wound she had, Fiona shivered a bit, thinking about what had happened. “I got it the last time my masters presented me to another dog like two months ago… This one was… strange. It wasn’t that hurtful until a dozen days ago,” she slightly said, shyly, almost shameful. Her eyes suddenly widened as Opal offered her to stay, and eventually to raise her pups here. She glanced around her, and then her gaze came back on Opal. She let slip out a slight wince as she felt the puppies moving again inside her. “Are you sure?” she hesitantly asked the other female.

( It's alright~ I'm pretty busy myself ^^ Opal nodded, "I'm plenty sure. I'd just have to make a few changes to my home is all." Her words came across muffled as her head was in a box. She pulled out some plants, sorted them into separate piles and pushed one to Fiona as she picked up the other. " Eaf sat. Your pupf foud calm down" Opal's voice was again muffled but from the plants in her mouth. She dug out a small bowl, dumping the plants inside; sticking a paw inside it to grind the plants up. After feeling satisfied with the state in the bowl she added a few other things that weren't from the city. Opal crushed the other things placed in the bowl; picking it up she brought it outside and left it there. "Try to remain calm while here, the scent of cat doesn't yet cover your scent. My mixture should be enough to through off those mutts".

"Thank you very much", Fiona slightly said, almost shyly, to the grey and white infected female. Fiona had seen some infected around in the streets already, and the less she could tell was that they hadn't left her a good impression. She was fairly impressed by Opal, seeing the infected had had enough willpower to keep her mind sane. She remained silent, observing her surroundings, while Opal was pulling some herbs and plants from a box, a bit lost in her thoughts. Opal's voice called her back to reality, and Fiona realized that the other female had pushed towards her, telling that it should calm down her pups inside her. She sat up into an upright laying position, and starting eating the strange plants. It was... funny, scraping between the tooth, and leaving an odd but not unpleasant taste in the mouth. She then remained lying back on her side, still watching at what Opal was doing, and listening to her. "How does it come you know so many things?" Fiona finally asked after few time, amazed at everything the infected was knowing. She had left her owners' home since a month and half now, and was far to know the town. Not even talking about what was going on, or how the outside town's world could look like.

Opal laughed a bit, mostly to herself. "sometimes I impress myself with my knowledge. I may as well tell you since you are going to stay here." She sat down to a comfortable position. "to start of I go by quite a few names, some of which you may have heard. Most of what you hear about me is true, I've never left this alley since I came here, I've made a pact with the cats and now we've come to a mutual agreement. They pass any information they've heard to me and I give them food or housing; whatever they wish. I gave any type of information to anyone for a very high price. I also have visions which give me knowledge sometimes," she then added, "anything else you'd like to know?"

Fiona quietly listened to Opal. The white and grey infected female was full of various knowledge, and she was probably knowing even more things than she was actually telling. She was knowing so many things, compared to Fiona... But it's not surprising, since i've passed all my life in my owners' house, without even putting a paw outside, she thought. "Do you know what is going on the town? I've seen strange dogs, with yellow eyes like yours. They were aggressive, and pretty scary..."
Since the beginning, she had tried to avoid them, like she had tried to avoid many other things she did know nothing about. Other dogs, because the only times her owners had put her with dogs was meaning litters. Humans, because she was afraid about what they could do if they'd catch her. Anyway that wasn't like there were many humans out in the streets. And other animals, because she was knowing close to nothing about the outside house's world. And once she had left, her curiosity about cats, some other dogs, and farm animals she didn't know had been showed off by some unfortunate words and fights. So she had tried the inner town, but without much more results. At least she had met few kind dogs, but also some who had tried to take advantage of her current state. And infected...
"Since i was only in early pregnancy when my owners left me behind, and found no-one able to tell me, i have no idea how it is going there... Could you tell me more about that too, please?" she shyly asked Opal. Despite being older than the infected fae, this one was like a motherly figure to her. And since her instinct was telling that she could trust the border collie, that what she was doing.

OOC: Hope you don't mind me posting. Quest: virusrising.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tryouts&action=display&thread=203The young pup staggered along the road, hoping against hope that she would run into an dog before her legs gave out under her. She couldn’t see from her recently wounded left eye, and she felt like someone had ripped her side open, which they had. She would have given up and died like any other puppy, but she knew she was one of the few who could fight the Infected without joining their ranks. She kept her good eye and ears forward, praying to catch sight, smell, or sound of a dog. She knew that if she didn’t get help, she wouldn’t last much longer. She could feel her life blood pouring from her slowly healing wounds. Her breaths were now coming in short, quick gasps. Her wounded legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground, unable to help a yelp as her wounds hit the hard ground.
