Never turned towards Scruff to hear his reply. As she did, she noticed she was being watched by the wolf-like infected dog. She was startled by how quickly it got so close to her without her noticing. She snarled a warning at it, but a flash of something else caught her eye. When she realized that Scruff was about to attack the infected dog near her, she let her guard down briefly to turn around and bolt towards the alleyway. She hoped the Infected would go after Scruff instead of her, as terrible as that might sound, while she sought out help.

Umbra slowly stepped towards the tripod. Somehow the virus had guessed that running straight wouldn’t necessarily be a good idea for once. She wouldn’t be killed so easily, or at least she was thinking so, her mind entirely caught into invincible feeling. She lowered her body, ready to attack, or to attack back. Her height was often an advantage, but not every time, and surly not this one. But there was one thing her mind –and the virus- had forgotten… The wound on her side, between two ribs. It was deep, and slowly bleeding. Eventually she would realize it again… For now she had other priorities.
[pffft sorry for such a bad post, and the time it took me <.< ]

Marie grinned at the dog, it had noticed her. The dog snarled at her, then focused on something behind Marie. Turning she saw that male from before running at her. Snarling at him she was about to attack him when he jumped. His large weight slammed onto her, forcing her into the ground. Getting back up quickly, she caught sight of him standing cockily on top of the car. He said something about them being more fun, but mostly he was merely mocking them. Showing off his hide that was unmarked.
Enraged Marie snarled fiercely at him with her jaws parted and leaped at the car. He claws made gouges in the metal as she stood a few feet away from him, glaring boldly, her body taunt. Marie's vision began to blur and she knew that the Virus obviously was helping her. As her vision cleared again Marie locked onto that damn dog and sneered back at him, "If you can handle it!" Then she lunged.

Scruff gave a cocky grin, thoroughly pleased he'd successfully pissed off both female infecteds. There really wasn't any reason he should be happy though. He had two giants, now thoroughly placed on exacting revenge on this tripod mutt. Wasn't that amazing? If he could just buy time, enough for Never to scram he'd surely find some place to huddle up or take down the infecteds. He wasn't one to easily give up. "If you can handle it!" Scruff smirked, leaping to the side as the female came up to him on the car, teeth slashing out in the hope of tearing her ear to ribbons or catching her eye, or the skin near it. Even the playing field of sight or hearing. If it was even at all, he was more experienced with his ailments, more alert, more attuned to his senses and the movement around him.
The canine than moved from the roof to the hood and down to the ground again, and ran for Umbra, slinking down to the asphalt of the street at the last second, and nipping her legs before shoving his shoulder where her ribs and foreleg met and leaped out of the way. Three paws barely touched the earth as he kept in constant motion, trotting by the females, both always in the sight of his one eye. He than proceeded to pester Umbra, teeth going for her legs, ignoring the area where he'd jabbed her between the ribs. How was she still going?!
The virus. Damn it, at least invincibility doesn't last forever. He thought grimly, though the arrogance never left his face.
"I think I can handle myself very well so far. How are you two girls doing? I can see you're getting tired." A bluff. Though in hopes their twisted minds took this as some snarky remark. It would turn him into their punching bag, their attention solely focused on him. Whether it was rage or a predator instinct, and he just one challenging prey. He was careful not to watch Never though. If sanity broke through the infecteds they'd catch onto what he was doing.
Running in again, though, he ran for Umbra's back legs, running past but making the effort to kick out one strong back leg of his own in an attempt at a canine Charlie Horse. From there he was going for Marie again, sharp, unforgiving teeth attempting to tear their way through her defenses before a carefully placed shoulder aimed for her rib cage. After the move, whether it worked or not, he was away, once again in the far circle around the two females. He'd gone a few yards back, a subtle attempt to draw the infecteds farther away. It was the most he could do for his packmate, use his special talents of annoyance, persistence, and brains. Hopefully, it was enough.

Never scrambled urgently into the sewer entrance, which was a manhole lid partially opened. The medium-sized dog gathered up the last remaining strength she had and pushed it open with her paws. She climbed down the steps past the opening, and hurried down the path. As soon as she was sure she was out of sight from the battle above ground, she stopped to catch her breath and clear her mind. She thought about what the other dogs living in the sewer might think if they saw her just now; fur soaked with rain, one back leg limp and lifeless, bruises and wounds covering her body, her tongue dangling out of her mouth as she panted frantically as if she had just been running for her life.
She knew that if she was going to alert someone about what was happening, she needed to be calm and collected. She shook her pelt to rid it of the rainwater, which sprayed in every direction into the darkness. She jumped when she heard a voice call out to her.
"Hey! Watch it!"
It was the irritated voice of Pillar.
Perfect! Never thought thankfully. She rushed into the direction of the voice nearby, where she was met by the muscular doberman female who had been newly covered with the rainwater that recently left Never's ginger and white fur.
"Pillar! You're immune, aren't you? To the virus?" Never panted, ending up sounding more urgent than she had planned.
((I don't to end up just talking to myself here so SKIPPING THAT PART...))
After being quickly briefed by what was happening above the ground, Pillar trotted quickly out of the sewer and into the storm. She had told Never that she didn't need to seek out additional help -- the independent doberman thought she could handle anything. She rushed out of the alleyway and into the scene, scanning the area without trying to draw attention to herself. She saw the two large infected dogs, just as Never said. She also saw Scruff, the tripod, bravely taking on the larger dogs by himself. The doberman was just in time to hear his comment.
"I think I can handle myself very well so far. How are you two girls doing? I can see you're getting tired."
Pillar snorted. She could see that Scruff enjoyed mocking Infecteds as much as she did. Rather than making a grand entrance like she usually might in a situation like this, Pillar stayed to watch to see if the Infecteds would go after Scruff. If they tried to attack, she would be there to even out the match a bit.
And totally kick their asses!
((SORRY FOR THE WEIRD... TRANSITION OF CHARACTERS.......... i felt like there wasn't much i could do with Never, so i'm switching her out for Pillar! her image is in my sig. as a quick bio: she's cocky and athletic, previously a police dog.))

Umbra was still bleeding from the wound between her ribs. But as it had almost stopped being visible from outside, her left lung was slowly filled from her own blood, and her breath began to be uneasy. But all at the fight, she had cared about it for now, the adrenaline flowing on her body preventing her to notice that something was wrong -not even talking about what the virus was doing-.
When the tripod came once again at her, she tried to snap at him, to catch whatever she could. But she caught nothing but air. While the other had nipped her legs. It was really annoying! And even more... She saw the orange and white female running -or was it limping?- away. Normally the virus would have made her running after anything trying to escape, but there was the tripod... The ooh-so-annoying tripod! She suddenly felt down when he came back, seemingly trying to go for her front paw. That didn't worked as she had been excepting it, since the male stayed up to go to the other infected. But at least he didn't harmed her more.
She got up when the tripod ran away, looked at the other infected, and started to follow him in his circle, staying on the right side, expecting the other to stay on left. She didn't even noticed when an other dog came in the street, entirely focused on the tripod.

(Absolutly no muse whatsoever. Sorry for the wait.)
Marie cursed as the male dodged her attack, sending her flying to the ground. She backed off and watched as he harried the other infected, who seemed to be badly wounded. Then the male came at her, managing to scratch her and hit her chest. Stumbling back she noticed a large dog looking at them. It wasn't infected. Snarling Marie decided to retreat. With one damn dog being too fast for her, and now another dog to fight, along with that unstable infected, the situation could possibly threaten her life. She began to leave diagonally, as to watch all of them as she left.

The Tripod's eyes flicked to the retreating infected. A growl of pleasure and amusement rumbling through his throat. White teeth momentarily shining through his curled lip in a delightful manner. Than as if having a sudden mood swing turned on his beg legs, swinging with his weight and wheeling to strike the infected's face or shoulder with his one foreleg. On the downward motion, anticipating the infected to hesitate whether to attack the limb or dodge. His unforgiving canines striking whatever flesh or fur he could reach. From there he flitted away with unusual grace. His one good eye briefly catching sight of the doberman, the familiar face of Pillar. Maybe the party was still going.
Though indecision flashed on his face as the one infected tried to get away. Would he let her go that easy? He'd let the infected make her choice, maybe her mind wasn't as decayed as the one he was fighting. Smart enough to retreat. Umbra though... blood came from her sides where she'd been impaled but she was still going. Maybe the doberman would be enough to take her down as well, though Scruff was one who gruffly accepted any help. Lonesome had been his company for quite a while it was still odd to adjust to other canines that wanted to help, not turn on you when the opportunity arose.
"Eager little canine huh?" Scruff growled in a dangerous, yet mockingly playful voice, writhing his whiskery lips back to the gums. Yellow eye livid and eager as well. His erect ear twitching slightly in anticipation as it clung to his thick skull, his hanging ear plastered to his skull. His tail waving slowly, arched above his back. "Your friend seems like she doesn't want to stay and dance though," He clicked his tongue as if slightly disappointed. Out of the corner of his yellow eye he watched Pillar as if trying to summon her with on cue. "Though I'm surprised by the not so grand entrance." He clucked under his breath.
It seemed Pillar had knack for presenting herself, almost in the foolish way he'd provided in the successful attempt at saving Never. Though he really wasn't in any place to mock the doberman. If the infected leaving was planning to gather reinforcements, he'd need Pillar there, though even if it was them and just Umbra infecteds were surprisingly ignorant to pain. The more the merrier.
Moving swiftly he lunged for the infected again nipping and slashing more at her legs and shoulder, steering clear of the wound the car bumper had laid intact. If it didn't kill her it'd at least get infected... with a different sort of infection. Swirling around again he shoulder at her again before reeling back and swaying on his hind legs again and dropping his upper body down heavily in attempt to push the canine to the ground or break some bones.
((Sorry this took so long!!))
