Marie

It was night and the park was empty. Empty of humans at least. For there was at least one breathing being in the park tonight. Resting in the double shadow of a tree was an infected beast. It was of a frightening size, and its baleful yellow eyes scoured the park around it. Indeed, only the eyes and the white patch like a bloodstain on its chest were all you could see of the beast.

Its name was Marie, or Mar to those who dared to get close to the monster. And tonight she waited for what she wasn't sure.

Her pale eyes shined silver as they reflected the moons rays, she strolled through the park slowly her gait appearing lazy despite her eagerness to find a safe haven to rest. Her eyes scanned the park fixating on anything of interest. It had been a long day, her head hanged low as a yawn escaped her muzzle.

Her dark fur bristled in the cold air as she stopped for a second, looking around her.

Reich

The monstrous dark-faced dog stalked through the park, his eyes burning yellow. He let his white tongue hang out devilishly, saliva dripping quickly from his maw. He spotted the brown uninfected and let out a small chuckle, too quiet to be heard. He hadn't been with a female in ages. More saliva dropped from his mouth. He stopped walking and let out a bark, that sounded light and happy. He would trick this vulnerable. And he would get his way.

As Marie lay in the shadows she noticed a brown dog. The dog was not infected, and Marie was about to get up when the dog stopped. Looking around again Marie noticed another infected. The male was drooling and barked at the female dog happily, obviously trying to trick her.

The male was huge, even bigger than her! That was rare. Marie decided to watch them, and see what the male did.

Kismets head jolted to the source of the bark, she froze as she spotted the huge dog a short distance away. He had sounded happy, but she wasn't stupid, the whites of his eyes where as black as the sky and the iris's glowing yellow. She stood there contemplating whether to flee or stand her ground, She knew she could outrun him because of his size.

She just stood there as the infected continued to stare at her, not really sure what to do next.

Reich's smile faded from friendly, to menacing, tongue hanging and lips pulled back almost to his eye. He was an ugly sight. "What are you doing out here all alone, it sure is dangerous." He mocked, stepping closer. Maybe he could just kill this one, it could be immune. Katzbalger would want him to kill an immune, right?

Marie fought the urge to laugh as the male mocked the dog. But she wanted to be hidden so she kept it in. She wondered what they both would do.

She stood her ground, growling slightly as the dog mocked her. She didn't care the joke would be on him if he attacked her, he might not know she was immune which would give her a chance to fight back. This advantage gave her some confidence in the situation, she smirked slightly as she prepared herself for whatever was going to happen next.

He was slightly baffled by her lack of fear. A few more long strides closer to the female. He Could easily leap from here and kill her. He instead looked around. "Are there any more gifted brothers and sisters around?" he called, and half cackled at the end. He swung his head back around to Kismet.

Marie answered his cackle with a laugh of her own. So he was willing to share it seemed. Sneering at the dog she came out from the shadow under the tree.
Taunting the dog she said, "So brave to stand up to an infected. So foolish." with a savage smile.

The dog's actions worried her though, only an immune would stand up to an infected.

"No im the only one." She lied , trying to keep her voice even as the dog came uncomfortably close to her, being this close he looked even bigger then before, a giant. She spun round as another dog approached, another infected. Now she began to panic.

She wouldn't let her fear show of course, even though she knew the odds where now horrible in there favour. "Is this a friend of yours?" She growled gesturing to the new dog.

Reich grinned wider The giant looked like a demon. As the black wolfdog appeared out of the shadows, he snarled with pure glee. The dog was sure to be dead now. He couldn't wait to taste her blood. "I've seen her around." He said, insanity stirring in his deep voice. He stepped closer as the dog was turned away. He could easily close his jaws around her back.

"Friends are for weaklings like your kind." Marie said cruelly, flashing the dog a savage smile. She took a step forward, trying to catch the dog's attention. She could see the male getting closer, soon to make the kill.

Suddenly Marie lunged forwards, attempting either to grab the dog by its throat or push it into the male. Either way, they would win. Time to get the party started! She couldn't wait either to spread the virus or taste the dog's flesh.

Kismet turned around facing the first dog as it came closer, she had lost what little confidence she had mastered and was now preparing for the worst. So when the second dog made a unexpected move and lunged at her she flinched then flew round it face her, trying to jump out of the way as sharp teeth came her way.

As Marie went for the dog, Reich melted into the shadows momentarily. When Marie was ready to hand over the kill, he would come out and finish it.
